Dal lake shikara rides are no longer serene and peaceful. evey second you will be spammed with people selling one thing or the other on the water. if all this is removed,. the shikara ride on lake can be very beautiful.

The botanical gardens offer beautiful views of the lake. The houseboats that border the lake are charming and unusual.

Beautiful and lovely place. Good view but in winter the fog is too thick to see anything. Better to start after 10 am

Hi! Yes, it’s accessible in December and the real ‘heavy’ snowfall is more towards the later part of January. Just make sure you stay in a good hotel which can take care of your requirements at that time.
