The mosque was very typical but in a pretty run down neighborhood with a lot of strewn trash all around the mosque. Not a comfortable setting for women either with lots of men glaring at my blonde wife.
A very beautifullly constructed historic mosque. Much of the historic struture is still maintained today. It is better to avoid the place on Fridays,as pet the locals there are sometimes clashes with police usually after the friday afternoon prayers.
