Hundreds of houseboat located in that area, its best places for stay You can get river view from the rooms all the houseboats is horizontal and in dal lake almost all houseboats are parallel to each other In that area no souvenir seller spoil your privacy

It is really much thrilling to see such a magnificient river from so near.Whatever place in and around srinagar and whatever season the river looks so much magnificient .

We stayed at New Shaheen houseboat on Jhelum. The river itself is beautiful. It feels great to cross the river on a small boat. There are fewer houseboats, so you get better privacy compared to other lakes, at a cheaper rate. Nice feeling.

Thanks for savoy group of houseboats for making the tour of old city , its gives great experience to hear the lovely cultural of the valley , The houseboats located on the banks of river is amazing , which gives beautiful view from the rooms murmuring water of houseboats,

Be aware while doing a shikara ride dal lake , the shikara men showing fake old city , if you are going to explore old srinagar city , hire a small cruise boat (10 person ) capacity , they show all historical parts of srinagar from old seven bridge to the oldest mosque in valley its wonderful trip The jandk... More

This river is really clean and maybe even cleaner than the Dal lake :) and you can definitely get some really cheap houseboats to sleep for a good rate on this river.I stayed on a houseboat which is called H.B. New Armand near the S.P.S. Museum and the owners were friendly . The bridge upon the river is really funny... More
