Hello. I am planning to visit Nubra valley around the last week of July for stargazing . I am also planning to visit Leh and other nearby areas. My question: Is the terrain/flora/fauna going to look very similar everywhere (the cold dry desert with snow capped mountains in the horizon)? Is there any place near nubra that makes sense traveling to, that also looks significantly different? I would assume that nanda Devi national park would be one such place, however that would be too far.
