One of the most beautiful snorkeling places I’ve ever visited. The location, the fish, the coral, the clarity of the water combine to make an amazing experience. It’s like an IMAX film except you are passing thru rather then film passing in front of you....More

We stayed Le Taha’a resort for 7 nights. The Coral garden is a must do. It’s super fun and you’ll see tons. We saw an octopus and lots of fish.

The coral garden is absolutely incredible. We saw so many different species of fish as we drifted over the garden, carried by the current. The lagoon is shallow, so you can stand when you need to come up. I highly recommend water shoes to protect...More

This is a beautiful spot but not for poor swimmers or people who fear bumping into coral. There are not sufficient channels to swim through and the water pushes you through the coral and sometimes over it where there is not enough room. I recommend...More

This is a great activity that you can do more than once if you’re staying at Taha’a resort. We did the pass multiple times in one day and it was exponentially better when we brought the hotel’s fish food. It turned into a full-blown underwater...More

I am less of a snorkeler lover than is my wife. That's why it was easier for the two of us to enjoy this unique experience. This area is quite shallow so it's easier to stop when you please and simply stand up. For this...More

A very good place to snorkel with fish and coral. It requires a bit of skill and maybe difficult for children.

Exquisite snorkeling. We took three passes over the garden. There are many sections that require you to glide rather than actively paddle given the height of the coral. Gorgeous colors and lots of fish. Guides were very helpful. The ground is crushed coral, so be...More

I had read that this was a fabulous experience so I hunted for a long time to find the "right" vendor and trip. (See my review of Te Mara Nui.) If you love snorkeling, this is a great experience. You are literally inches above the...More

There were a ton of fish and beautiful coral. Drift snorkeling was a unique experience for us and was very easy to do. The current is stronger on some days depending on how windy it is. The key is to walk all the way up...More

We could access it from the Le Taha'a Resort or a cruise boat we were on. If staying on Tahaa, you should be able to find someone to take you there by boat. It is fabulous.
