Husband and i was looking for some cute handmade souvenirs and managed to get it from this market. We bought cute bracelet of $2 each. Key chain's a little bit pricey but we bought some anyway to support the locals. Overall, it's a good experience.

To me below average experience, with a guy walking round approaching tourists on pretence of being friendly and offering gift wrapped in newspaper, he then asks your name and wants to carve it into the wood gift, only to then charge you for it, and...More

If you visit the market. Be careful. You will have people coming up to you making a conversation. They then pass you a gift. But the gift is not free. They ask you for money. I know couples who paid $10-$35 for a piece of...More

Let me start by saying I didn't go to the Lautoka Market but the fact that buses bring people from Nadi and Denerau must mean something. If you do stop here on your cruise take the short walk into town and check out the town...More

We walked to the market from the cruise port. It is a very large, covered market area with many different kinds of fruit, vegetables, fish and beef. Friendly venders greeting us with "Bula"

As the second largest town in Fiji, Lautoka has a sizeable fresh food market. Definitely worth a look. We caught a local bus to Lautoka ($3 from Nadi) & the bus station is on 2 sides of the market. The variety of fruit & vegetables...More

I saw streetside hawkers selling mangoes in Suva in January, so I suppose they would be in season then along with the standard bananas and pineapples. Litchis were plentiful in the Vila market and I expect they would thrive... More

I would say 7am to 6pm Mon-Sat, however the main market is close on the Sunday however there usually is a few vendors outside. Enjoy

Not at this one, but I think there's a flower market every Saturday at Shirley Park.
