We were introduced to Fantasia by a man walking round the sunbeds at our hotel, his name is Yehia Ahmed, but he likes to be called Ahmed. After a couple of days we decided that we would like to do the evening so booked by the pool with Ahmed, it cost us 200 Egyptian pounds each (approx £20 each) and this included the full evenings entertainment and an all you can eat buffet.
We wete staying at the Aqua Blue hotel and Fantasia was a good 20 minute walk away, so do bear this in mind when you are setting off to walk there!!
When we arrived at the building we were amazed by the sheer size of it, it was huge!! But also very gorgeous, all done out really lovely and authentic. The entrance had lots of beautiful fountains in it, all lit up different colours.
When you walk thorugh the first section there is a bar and lots of shops. You then walk through to the back where you are seated for the first show. All the tables are within a good distance of the stage.
The food buffet opened at approx 730pm and the entertainment started at about 8pm. The food was delicious, pretty much the same style of food that you get in the all inclusive hotels in Egypt, meats, cheeses, bread, cooked food, lots of puddings. It was all very nice!
The show started with a Whilring dervish man, if you have never seen this, i have posted a photo! He basically dances while spinnning round and he has a skirt on with lots of bright colours on that goes round while he dances.
The second show was a beautiful Egyptian belly dancer, after her show she got people up on the stage to dance with her!
The third show was a snake charmer, which was also very interesting, although by this time people had started standing around the stage so we couldnt really see the stage very well. Although the staff did try their best to get everyone to their seats so everyone could see!
Once these three shows had finished and we had finished eating, we were then directed to the fourth show if the night, which was the light show.
This was staged in a massive arena and when we entered it there were guys with horses and camels for you to have your photo taken with them! Also in the arena were all the hostorical sites of Egypt in mini versions, ie The Sphinx, the valley of the kings etc
The light show had different areas that did the show in different languages, the English show was in a room with a glass window overlooking the arena. As the show went on, each of the historical sites lit up and the voice over explained the history behind them all, which we found very interesting!
Once the voice over finished the guys on horses rode around the arena and did a show for everyone. We thought htis was then the end of the show but were then shown to another area where there was a final belly dancing show.
As you can see the full evening was great value for money and was all very well planned out.
Ahmed, who we booked through asked that i put his telephone number on here, so if anyone wants to book the evening, please feel free to give him a call!! His number is +20111218626
May i say that he is a very friendly chap, who goes out of his way to make the evening special for you. It was my birthday the evening we visited Fantasia and he went out f his way to blow up balloons and stick them all around the table for me, i thought this was a very nice touch!!

This was the worst show I have ever been to. I was in shock. The show was a huge mess, none of the scenes were presentable. The seating was very cheap and uncomfortable. The horses were abused for the show. The belly dancer did not know what she was doing. The weather was hot and the fans were not working properly, and the place was full of mosquitos. We left an hour into the show because we couldn't tolerate it anymore. Never ever go to this show, it's a waste of time and money.

If you like seeing Guys ride around on horses waving flags and calling it a show then this is the place for you!! Watching them make the horses do unnatural tricks and seeing that they don't like it and are whipped into it is heart breaking. After that sad excuse of a show is finished you get to see a guy torment and throw snakes around for 15 minutes and think he is doing something amazing.
The only good thing of the night was the male belly dancer and his fellow dancers...They all looked to really enjoy themselves and it was great to watch. It is just a shame they are dancing there and not somewhere else

Have just returned from a wonderful week at the Marriott in Sharm El Sheikh. The only disappointment of the whole week was this show. After reading the reviews before we went we thought it would be a good night out but unfortunately it wasn't. The building is beautiful but the food was mediocre (we had a much better Egyptian meal at our hotel). When we went to the English translation area for the show, it was full of Germans and we had to sit through the whole show listening in German before the English translation started. Also the sound quality was terrible and we found it really hard to understand what was being said. We went outside to watch the horse show but it really was no great spectacle and the dwarf standing the back of a donkey walking around the arena to the music of Benny Hill was just painful to watch.
We met up with the nice couple who had shared our transfer, bought some mint tea and watched the belly dancing and the spinning guys who whirl their skirts which was the nicest part of the evening but to be honest you can see this kind of entertainment at the hotel.
Save your money - give this one a miss.

Fantastic night out, beautiful Moroccan restaurant 5 course traditional Moroccan meal was plentiful and tasty. Dine in the palace which has the most amazing decoration. Sound and light show was good, and the history of Egypt was well presented in air conditioned viewing area. Excellent horses riding skills with the opportunity to meet the horses and riders. The bizarre area with centra dance stage was also well presented with the spinning male dancer being our daughters highlight. Well worth a visit.

Food I have to say is wonderful and they do actually cater for vegetarians also. We paid £35 each for the food and the entertainment. Live horse show in air con rooms depending on your language of choice. Good history facts about Egypt. All went down hill from there. Belly dancer I swear danced to the same song for an hour looked bored and uninterested. Russian carpet swingers - entertaining for about 20 mins but went on forever. Guy with the snakes - we walked away in disgust - he was chucking them around like toys and just not to our taste at all. Would save your money and just go for a meal!

All i can say is dont go, !! we was the first to arrive lol so started to worry got pestered by the shop people they dont seem to take NO for an answer !!! the first 15 minutes of the show was ok, then i dont know what happend but it turned into a rodeo show, it was joke and the poor horses looked had it and tired, they had white foam around there mouths bless them, personally the whole thing to me was an insult to there history and made a mockery of it to, the russians seemed to love it though and had centre stage !! all in all a crap night, save your money and stay away !
