We liked the buggy ride in the desert, the fire and belly-dancing shows. A camel ride was also great. However, looking at the stars thru a telescope was not as we expected. The magnifying was only to a small bit.

Really well equiped and very knowlegeable guide / owner. Good from the curious beginner to expert. Really highly recommended - take the quad bikes to get there and go to the Bedhuin openair night in one go. Really excellent!!!

I found the Star Gazing particularly interesting as one of the guides had a telescope and was well verse in cosmology. The star gazing is typically tied in with the day of quad biking before going towards this site. It might not be for everyone...More

Starts off with a camel ride. Great at first but the heat kills you. Camels are very uncomfortable to rise by the way. You are then given some food and shisha. After that you climb the mountain. Not much fun. Then you finish off with...More

Hi Alexandkelley, No, you do not need a license to drive these quads. We have just returned from a week at Sharm and asked the same question. They told us you dont need one. Cheers Chris.

Hey, this was asked 22 days ago but events had happened since. Is it still safe to camp out in the middle of the desert with all this ISIS stuff happening recently I.e attacking a ship of the coast of Egypt. I'm just concerned about kidnapping whilst staying out over the night in a remote part of the desert. Can someone put my mind at ease as I would love to do this! Thanks, Nathan
