If you come on holiday just to rest and sunbath this is not for you. I have loved Arabia since as a child watching Lawrence of Arabia then later visiting his home in Dorset I think. As I got older I must have watched it 50 time and read his book on battles in Arabia. This trip is the real... More

There is a shop where you can buy drinks and food but the prices are 3 times higher then normal. - you have 10 minutes to walk arround at the dessert peoples place and that is way to short!! -we had... This is oversold and is made to sound like a wonderful adventure in the desert doing a range of activities - quad biking, dune bashing, beduoin visiting, animals and a show which includes whirling dervishes and a belly dancer. This is what it actually is: A TOURIST TRAP! Rather spend your day in Hagardha at the beach/poolside. The quad biking... More

We booked a Desert Safari day with the kids which consisted of an hour of quad biking, a trip to a Bedouin village, including tea & a meal in a Bedouin tent, a short camel ride, a mirage, watching the sun set & a jeep safari. That's a lot of fun & experiences for your money. We booked with Red... More

To spend a day in the desert was exceptional. Only bad experience was that our driver put our lives in danger when he opted to get into a road rage fight with a different driver.

For more than 11 years I lived in Dubai and Doha, so right next to the dessert. Hot climate, suitable for the sun and sunbathing lovers as I am.

We booked this trip through our Thomas Cook rep in our hotel, who made this trip sound wonderful at only paying £25 per person. Transport was provided to the dessert, but it was a small bus with low quality air conditioning and too many passengers. Once we had arrived to the camp, there seem to be a lot of waiting... More
