Salinas, Ecuador is a beautiful city on the Pacific coast. The beach is divided in two sections; as we arrived the first part of the drive on a street named "Malecon" is very commercial, upbeat, with hotels, restaurants, and stores. In between our drive it...More

A beautiful beach with fewer vendors breathing down your neck. Water is wonderful- I recommend going more south toward chocolateria for more privacy

Nice beach, I missed the trashbins. Some trash on the beach. Less busy than Playa san Lorenzo. Less salespeople, but the ones who are there are friendly and when you say 'no' they move on.

Salinas Sunset From my window. The cheaper rentals are in the back. I can here the waves break from my unit especially at night when there are fewer noises.

Tan sand beach is much wider than the Salinas beach. Just a 15 minute walk from the center of the Salinas malacon. More tranquil with fewer roaming vendors but there is everything you need. Good to visit.

Very calm water with a wide sand beach. Not as many people as in Malecon. Very close to the Malecon - only $1 taxi to get there.
