Overview
More
Start your excursion early by hopping on a bus and heading south along the dry arid coast of Manta. As you slowly wind your way up and then down the hilly coast of Manabi, watch as the dry arid climate of the Manta coast line slowly gives way to the dense and increasingly lush Pacoche Reserve. Pacoche (Bosque Pacoche) is also known as "The Cloud Forest" to the people of Ecuador. It is home to several thousand species of wildlife and vegetation including birds, howler monkeys, sloths, lizards, bamboos, guavas, oranges, bananas, strangler figs and many more. As you walk along the easy 2.5 mile/4 kilometer trail, be on the lookout for the wildlife and bird species mentioned above and listen as your guide describes all that surrounds you. After your tour, enjoy a traditional Ecuadorian meal and pick up your free picture before you head back to the ship.

Get up early if you are in port. Watch the boats get ready to go out to sea, go on a Narwhal tour (WISH I DID), then sit on the deck to watch the boats unload their catch of the day. We took a cruise...More

Manta is a fishing town, and close to the Equator. When we stepped out of the cruise ship we could feel the heat swallow us up. In the early morning we saw the fishing vessels unload their tuna catch, we didn’t stay long, because we...More

I'm glad you enjoyed your time in Manta, however, your review placed under our company was done in error. We were never able to get a tour underway and actually departed Ecuador in September of 2013.
