I arrived in Puerto Ayora and immediately went for a walk. There was a crowd gathered here, so I had to check it out! What a show! All the pelicans, sea lions, marine iguanas, and frigate birds around know when it's fish-cleaning time and each...More

Sea Lions and pelicans surround the small fish market waiting for a scrap of waste. A must see to get so close to nature.

This is the place where local fishers sell their product. The beauty of it are not only the children running around but the local animals waiting for something to fall: pelicans, the occasional heron, the frequent seals or sea lions. The best free spectacle of...More

Visiting here became an obsession. Glad we stayed around the block and could check in frequently. Plenty of animals, sea lions, pelicans, herons, iguanas all hanging round to peruse the fish catch. Bring your camera.

Sea lions, herons, pelicans and marine iguanas can be seen here, all simply living their lives amongst the humans! Most times of day there is something to be seen, but of course when the fishermen are selling their wares, there are more animals to be...More
