When you visit santa cruz, you have to go to this beach. The way getting there is really easy. You'll see a lot of iguanas chilling at the beach, turtles and rays swimming in the water and beautiful views everywhere. Don't forget insect repellent!

Either walk or pay $10.50 each way to take a boat. If you take the boat, buy the ticket around 8:45am at the kiosk near the pier, and then you'll leave around 9am. The same boat guy will pick you up around 1pm.

Long Pretty Surf Beach..... nice for sunbathing and quick swim. There are better beaches. Do not pay for a tour to see this beach, just take a taxi. Have the driver wait as there are few taxis. The walk is extremely long about 1.3 miles one way.

First "beach excursion" -- we walked from Puerto Ayora town to the kiosk at the beach walk entrance and then to the beach through a beautiful cactus forest... many birds and lizards on the way. The beach itself was gorgeous -- with soft white sand, though dangerous currents for swimming. Walked to the end of this beach through a slew... More

Long, beautiful, pristine, uncrowded beach within walking distance from downtown Puerto Ayora. No facilities (= no bathrooms/snack bar) at the beach. It's just you, the sand, the ocean, the sun and the local animals. Just beautiful. The beach can be accessed by boat from the docks or by trail (1.5 miles from the entrance gate where you have to sign... More

A bit of a hike for the kids on a hot day, but was worth getting to the end to swim and see our first blue-footed booby. Nice place to swim and hike with a lot of locals who swim here as well.

Put on your walking shoes to visit Tortuga Bay. From registration to the beach is approximately 4.5k. Once there, you will see beautiful white sand beaches, blue water, all kinds of critters and amazing snorkeling, canoeing and swimming. Make sure you take plenty of water with you for the hike. You won't regret the walk.

this beach is amazing and worth the walk, the sand could not be whiter and the water could not be more clear.

well worth the long walk to get there. Takes at least 45 minutes to walk down the cobble path. Nice swimming in the cove, calm water, white sand, iguanas everywhere.

Nice and peaceful beach, there's a side beach next to the main one, which you can do snorkeling and i happen to see stingray there. Plan 3 hour there since there's a 30 min walk back and forth from the gate to the beach. The gate hours is 8-5 if i remember correctly.
