This is the prime place to experience Galapagos giant tortoises and they are majestic animals. You can take a tour around the Rancho and see a lot of them, from big to huge, while they slowly wander around eating. The Rancho is on the way...More

This is an incredible area where many tortoises roam freely within the boundaries of the ranch. They have plenty of space to roam and there is a wide variety of sizes. These giant creatures are absolutely remarkable. We also had a very nice lunch here.

The tortoises are amazing. This place is right next to a protected so the tortoises wander over the border to this ranch. The place had a restaurant and the food was quite good. You're able to walk around the main field and see the tortoises...More

We visited the Tortoise Ranch after landing by panga from the Santa Cruz II, and taking the 40 minute bus ride up the hill into the fog and coolness, which was welcome after four days in the islands. The giant tortoises were fascinating to see,...More

Spent about an hour just walking around this ranch. Our hired taxi recommended this place over the nearby El Chapo (another tortoise farm). Saw plenty of very big tortoises around the place. Had a good time!

Part of my Galapagos tour and def a fun outing! See their actual size, up close and personal! We saw two males exchange a shell crash and some grunts, took videos of them getting around (quite agile for their size), eating guavas that've fallen from...More

A relaxing and joyous time. You must see these tortoises to enjoy all that Galapagos has to offer. We just hired a taxi from Puerta Ayora for $40 and had such a wonderful time.

The Galapagos tortoises really look ancient! They're so slow. Got a funny video of one of them walking almost side by side with my husband. The lava tubes are great to scape the heat of the day.

During this guided visit, had the chance to walk through the lava tunnels and after met many tortoises basking in the sun, foraging the grasses and shared with them just the slow pace of their day to day lives.
