Beautiful stone path about 30 min leads by a statue of Darwin and a cliff with frigate birds nesting down it. I did not snorkel below but it was protected and lots of life was evident. Our guide took us on a long boat ride...More

We had a great time snorkeling on this beach. The sea lion population is large and they are a curious lot. We had to dodge them several times as they swam by to check us out. Quite an experience. Additionally, there were numerous fish species...More

This was our first stop when we arrived in the Galapagos and every other time we went snorkeling during our trip we compared it to Tijeretas. It was awesome! We saw sea turtles and swam with sea lions up close. They wanted to play with...More

Best Snorkelplace I visited at Galapagos. Not far away and for free. Like 20 minutes walking. Perfect for the arriving Day.

Amazing! We had only planned to come here once. But after having such a indescribable experience with the sea lions we kept going back. Honestly the best part of San Cristobal

There's a walk so be careful with elderly and kids but it has a very nice view. Do not forget your camera and sunblock!

From the Charles Darwin Interpretation Center, there is a very well maintained hike to Cerro Tijeretes (Frigatebird Hill) where you're rewarded with an oddly disproportionate statue of Charles Darwin overlooking Cerro Tijeretes and Kicker Rock in the distance. Great hike. You can go snorkeling by...More

We visited on March 29th, 2018. Such an Amazing place to snorkel!!! We walked from our hotel at the Golden Bay. Look for the Interpretation center, sign in, and walk on through. It’s free to go in. It only took us about 20 minutes to...More

It’s a 15-minute walk from the Interpretation Center through a good pathway. I suggest wearing tennis shoes for walking to the different beaches in Puerto Baquerizo Moreno. There is no beach at Tijeretas. Once you get to the end of the pathway, there are a...More
