Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The centre provided an interesting insight into the development of the Galapagos. The written commentary is in Spanish and English and the environment is clean, open and airy. Walkways leading from the centre are well maintained and lead to beautiful views of the island, great photo opportunities and for bird watching.

A must do on San Cristobal if you have any interest in the history or ecology. Old photos and explanation boards in English and spanish were informative.
Note the appeal for tourists to spend more on the islands having spent so much on airfares to get there!!

We visited the Interpretation Center on our way to Las Tijeretas. San Cristobal was the last of the three islands we visited while in the Galapagos, so we had heard/read most of the information contained in the Center before visiting. What was interesting was that the San Cristobal Interpretation Center gave a different perspective on these stories, while also presenting new information.
I found the Center worthy of a visit. We spent less than an hour.

We stumbled on this center while walking and exploring. This is the only interpretive center we did while in Galapagos. They did a great job explaining the origin of the islands, history and photos. This was done in both English and Spanish. If you are visiting San cristobal this is a must! It’s also a great walking path.

Fantastic center for ALL of Galapagos. Thorough, extensive, professional, high volume of Galapagos history and projected future. Great exhibits, walk-through areas that teach and inform. You can easily spend 1 hour here, I went twice. Great location as it is after Playa Mann and en route to more great beaches and hiking. Highly recommend.

This was fine, but didn't live up to the hype of the tour books. It is the only thing we saw on the island that was handicap accessible. But, it's random whether the information on the walls is translated to English. - sometimes, sometimes not. Not a great deal to learn, but a perfectly good way to spend an hour or so.

Very informative. Well worth the short walk to an interesting interpretive center. Provides good perspective on the natural history and human history of the archipelago. Combine this with a nice two hour walk along the well built trails.

The center needs to be "refreshed" in more ways than one. It is getting a little old and needs an update in terms of decoration, exhibits and landscaping. The exhibits are a little weak and trite..not much new or surprising information that you did not see o line.
On the plus side, there is a nice little beach across the street. Wear your swimsuit so you can partake of it! There are some amenities, but most important, there is an outdoor bar with local beers. The beach is a good one in terms of the waves and the clean water--there are some rocks hidden under the water, but you will quickly adjust. The best part is that (for those of you who have been in the Islands, this will come as no surprise) the Sea Lions swim up to the shore and play with you. There will be some of them sleeping on the beach, but then, the Sea Lions sleep everywhere on the islands--beaches, walkways, paths, docks, boats, ....! We did not see anyone "attacked" by a Sea Lion, but our guide did warn us of possible problems (when snorkeling) with the bulls when the pups are being nursed on the outlying islands.
Note: there are some showers on the beach to wash up after swimming, but the sand is very sticky--bring extra towels! You will need US dollars (the local currency) for buying anything on the beach.

Very good information centre that taught me alot about the Galapagos themselves as well as the wildlife. Is an uphill walk to get there and it was a hot afternoon when we were there, which can make it really challenging for some.
Accessible pathways though and saw many different birds up there too so quite a pleasant walk outside after you have done the center.

Es un agradable paseo, pero si tienes alguna dificultad motora, un taxi te dejará alli por 1 dolar.
