This Picturesque spot was a real surprise

Puerto Chino was a surprise, a small gorgeous bay with reasonably calm turquoise water. Ideal for swimming or just resting a while.

After a 30 min cab ride this beach is a short 10 min hike in from the parking lot. The path is well paved and easy to walk. Sand is like powder, turquoise water, sandy bottom, fun to swim in! If you are up for an adventure for a a couple of walks. If facing the ocean turn left and... More

We did the highland tour for $60 which included puerto chino beach. We were there in the afternoon. White beach, blue sea, less waves, some sealions. Very beautiful and nice place to be!

For sure the most beautifull beach of san cristobal and aantal Cruz. You can taken the bus or a taxi to get there. We went there while we were taking a highland tour. The costs of the highland tour is 60 dollar and you can take every taxi to do it with. The beach is very beautifull and good for... More

I hired a driver to take me to Puerto Chino and a few other locations in the highlands. It was worth the trip...lobos marinos lounging on the beach, some seabirds up on the rocks. Nice place to relax and enjoy the scenery.

It's a beach up in the highlands of San Cristobal. How to get there: I recommend hiring a taxi to take you on a tour to the various places you can see in the highlands (including the "Casa del Ceibo"- Ceibo Treehouse) and see if you can negotiate with him to pick you up after and hour or two (depending... My husband and I teamed up with a couple of girls from our hostel to hire a driver for the day to drive to some harder to reach spots further from Puerto Baquerizo Moreno. It was a really great day and it cost $60 between us to visit a tortoise sanctuary, Lagoon El Junco and a couple of other places,... More

Puerto Chino is a lovely little beach around 25 km away from the main town. There are many sea lions, sea turtles and birds here. The beach has a beautiful white sand and water is crystal clear blue. This is definitely the nicest beach I have been to on San Cristobal. Not many people swim here due to the strong... More

This beach is typically visited as part of a trip to Lagoon el Junco and Galapaguera de Cerro Colorado because it is quite a drive from Puerto Baquerizo Moreno. It was too rough to swim the day we were there, but still a very nice setting. Not worth the drive just for the beach, but a nice stop as part... More

This beach is quite lovely and good for swimming/sunbathing. The water was a beautiful Turquoise and waves very low. Not too many sea lions around which was nice.
