Literally on landing we were confronted by a seal lion suckling her pup who took one look at us and went back to sleep. You could hear the pup suckling, awesome. Next up, the path almost blocked by a countless number of iguanas, you had...More

Along with Genovesa, this is a must for any birder visiting Galápagos. Up close and personal with the Waved Albatross as well as other great sea birds. Also had good views of the endemic Mockingbird and other finches. The marine iguanas are also fantastic here...More

Not for the mobility-impaired! But, that say, it is gorgeous there. Lots of adorable sea lions and other wildlife. Many kinds of birds too.

We visited here as part of an all day boat tour from San Cristobal island. You have to tender over from the boat and do a wet landing. I highly recommend sturdy athletic shoes or hiking boots as some of the trail is over rocks...More

Came here October 2017 with Guiding Galapagos and Espanola may just be my favorite place in the Galapagos. It is so interesting and all the unique wildlife, specifically the albatross, is just amazing to see. We took about a one hour speed boat ride from...More

An opportunity to visit which is effectively the world's only equatorial albatross colony is not be be missed. I visited in November towards the end of the waved albatross breeding season. The chicks were already very large. There are two landing sites on Isla Española....More

Not as hard a walk as we had been led to believe, and well worth the effort. Lots more sea lions, iguanas, and finches, plus so many seabirds and a pair of hawks. The highlight was, without doubt, a pair of albatrosses dancing, and another...More
