Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It is so unfortunate that Seabourn had to cancel our port call in East Timor. We booked Timor Adventures based especially on its stellar reviews and I am adding my high regard for them to that of the many preceding reviewers'.
From the moment I inquired about tour availability to Dave's telling ME that Seabourn had changed its itinerary (way before Seabourn told me!) to Dave's swift rebate in full AND tips about what we should see in a revised itinerary in Australia I just cannot say how grateful I am.
Book with confidence, know that you will be taken care of every step of the way.

A wonderful opportunity to not only see the many parts of East Timor but to really learn about and come to a greater understanding of the culture and its people from a local perspective! Local guide Julio provided an amazing insight into life in East Timor. I was fortunate to experience a variety of destinations at each end of the island - south of Dili to Balibo, Maliana, Liquica, Aileu, Ainaro and Same, and east of Dili to Baucau, Com, Tutuala, Jaco Island and Los Palos. Finally, my time ended on the stunning Atauro Island, a great way to relax and enjoy the beautiful coral reefs. Julio Dos Santos is the perfect guide who cares greatly for his guests and goes 'above and beyond' to cater for their needs and share the story of his country with great passion.

We had a trip booked with Timor Adventures for early May.
Unfortunately due to restrictions put in place by various Governments (and rightly so) we had to cancel our booking.
Timor Adventures were so understanding about this, and if this is how they operate in not so good times, they can only be outstanding when things return to normal.
Once again thank you, you have been a pleasure to deal with, and hopefully we will see you next year.
I highly recommend this company - you will be in good hands.

We have used JUBENTOS TIMOR ADVENTURES many times on our visits to Timor. They are excellent and very accommodating as to what we wanted to see. We have visted the sights around Dili, up to the Dare Memorial and over to Tasi Toli. Information from Julio and Armando was informative and they have a deep understanding of the History of East Timor. Their English is excellent and answered all questions. Last year I sent friends with them for a tour of Dili and surrounding districts.
This year I booked them for 2 days from 8.30 - 5.30pm to take some staff to visit homes of our Seasonal Workers. Basically they took us where we wanted to go. The vehicle was very comfortable and Armando our driver negotiated the road safely.
I would highly recommend Julio and Jubentos Timor Adventures.

What an amazing adventure! We went as a group of 8 on an 8 day motorcycle tour with Julio, Brians and Anna. There was so much to see, and our guides were extremely knowledgeable in the local history. We enjoyed amazing roads, and some very challenging roads that led us to incredible places that we otherwise wouldn't have known about. Julio and his team were so hospitable and accommodating to us. We thoroughly enjoyed visiting local guest houses and meeting local families and artisans. The food was local style, fresh, and always delicious. I cannot recommend Jubentos Timor Adventures enough.

We had an amazing time in Timor Lesthe with Julio. He tailored the itinerary by covering all qhat we requested for. Even with the last minute unexpected cancellation of our flights, he was able to make the necessary changes and run the trip smoothly. We highly recommend Julio for his expertise and compassion.

Mum and I had so much fun! We really recommend Jubentos Timor Adventures. Armando and Julio are lovely and very accommodating. They made our experience in Timor extra special and beautiful.
They also factored in family time and helped us to see our village and meet some old family friends. They also helped organise a meeting with Alola Foundation which was very important to us.

Julio from Jubentos Timor Adventures planned an amazing 8 day, 7 night trip for our group of eight on bikes. We toured all around Timor Leste, stopping to view many historical sites. The level of knowledge Julio has of his culture and country is absolutely amazing. We are in guest houses and private residences enjoying a wide variety of Timor dishes. Julio and his team looked after us very well, this was a truly immersive trip. So whether you want to travel by bike or car Jubentos Timor Adventures is the way to go, you will have a truly amazing time coming away with wonderful memories.

Before the trip I managed to in touch with Julio through JUBENTOS Timor Adventures. Julio has been very helpful, kind and with prompt response from every of my inquiries. I didn’t manage to meet him in person as he has another tour with him. However, he had been very helpful to sort out all the ground & tour arrangements for me with Mr. Brians Korton who was originated from Uganda. He’s has been living in Timor Leste for ages. Hence, he speaks like a local & knowing every great places around Timor Leste. If I happened to have any plan to revisit Timor Leste. Definitely I’ll contact Julio for any tour arrangements again! I supposed this is the most trustable & the best tour agent you able to find in Timor Leste! Go for it!

The experience with Timor Adventures was great. Julio gave the right advice in terms of our plans and all the support that he can. Brian was a great driver / guide. We explored Dili, coffee country and Maubisse and it was all superb. The country is beautiful and the people kind and helpful. Wishing Timor Adventures all the best in 2023 and keep up the great work.

Hi. I was reading reviews on Trip advisor regarding Timor Adventures.
Do you have contact details for them?
Their website is not accessible and the email on Trip advisor bounced back when I sent them an email.
Thanks

It seems solo travelers are not welcome considering the high rates quoted which subsidises the costs the other tour members pay.

Hi, we will be on the Pacific Explorer arriving 5 February 2020 and would like to do a 1/2 day tour. Do you run 1/2 day tours? Thanks Denise
Written 10 November 2019
Hi Denise
Thanks for your question. We don't run our standard 1/2 day tours on that day but we do have a tour specifically for cruise ship passengers that includes pickup and drop off at the port, a trip to the West of Dili and lunch.
Details about the tour are on our website on our cruise ship tour page and there are reviews about this tour on our TripAdvisor page.
Let us know if you have any more questions and we look forward to seeing you in Timor-Leste

Hi, I am looking to book a tour for 5 adults and 3 children. However your form on your cruise ship page only allows you to select a maximum of 4 people. Is there a way around this? Also are children the same price as adults, even if they are 2? Also can a visit to the war memorial be included in the tour?
Written 15 June 2019
Dear Fearless,
Many thanks for your question and pointing out that you could only select 4 people on the booking form, we will certainly change that! We would be delighted to accomodate you and your family. Your 2 year old would be free of charge and children 3 - 12 are $100 aud. We don't visit the Resistance Museum on this tour but will be exploring along the N/W coast including many historical sites from the Portugese and Indonesian eras, I will send you the itinerary in response to your email. Do hope you can join us. Kind regards David

We will be on the Pacific Dawn arriving in August and would like to do a tour that involved snorkelling and perhaps some walking. What do you suggest and at what cost? The ship offers some tours but not really what we are looking for. Thank you

Hi Denyse, we offer a day tour that introduces you to the history and culture of Timor-Leste . We travel along the NW coast as far as Maubara, stopping at Liquica town to learn about Portugese colonial era and Indonesian occupation. Check out our timoradventures website
You may like to contact one of the water based tour companies to see what they have to offer for snorkelling tours you can find a list of them the timor leste tourism website.
(sorry trip advisor won't let me post url links)
I hope this helps and you enjoy your visit to Timor-Leste, it is a trully amazing unexplored destination
