Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Definitely a culture experience . Though as a American we didn't feel to safe . Was with my Colombians friend and 14 year old son . Lots of Pushing , falling to the ground . Drunk idiots with no care in the world.
Good for a group of crazy 20-30 Years old . But at my age and with a young teen , ahhhhh not so safe again the many lifers there.

I have had the opportunity to go to many World Cups, Copa Americas, Euros, and nothing compares to the environment during one of the local matches here. Be prepared to stand for the full 90 minutes. The passion is incredible.

What Americans refer to as “Soccer” is called “Football” throughout the rest of the world. Colombians are crazy about football as is the rest of South American. The city of Medellín has two professional teams. Atletico Nacional is the most popular and successful one whose colors are white and green. Atletico was owned by Pablo Escobar during the height of his drug campaign. They have won several national and international championships. In fact, they were the opponent of Chapecoense, the Brazilian team that perished in a plane crash in 2016 on the way to play in the Copa Sudamericana Finals (Chapecoense was eventually awarded the title). Medellín’s “other team” is known as Deportivo Independiente Medellín and their colors are red and blue. While Independiente Medellín has had some success, they are basically the LA Clippers of the city. I actually went to an Independiente Medellín match which cost me 20K COP ($6 USD) for a front row seat behind the visiting goal post. The game was exciting even though Independiente Medellín lost 2-1 to a lesser opponent. On Sunday, Atletico played Independiente Medellín in what is known as “Clásico Paisa”. I wanted to see that game (and even walked to the stadium), however, the whole city was clamoring to get inside the stadium and there were no tickets left for purchase. I ended up watching Atletico destroy Independiente Medellín at a local bar. While the game started competitive, the final score was 5-2.

They have everything you can ever ask for: for fitness junkies to people watchers, just go here! Swimming, running, jogging, gymnastics, dancing, skateboarding, martial arts, fitness classes, gyms, and more! You can grab a bite to eat at one of the local shops or just wander around. Highly recommend.

Watched the cup match DIM vs Santa Fe in this stadium. It's a must to watch a football match in South America while travelling. If you really want to feel the atmosphere buy a ticket for North. Watch out with people selling tickets on the street, close to the stadium is an official ticket shop.

how do public gain access to gyms/swimming/running track? is there a website with membership/pricing information many thanks
Written 7 October 2017
The running track has times for the public. It’s a few hours in the morning and a few in the afternoon when you can’t use it. Otherwise it’s free. Go there and check out the latest info. And the pools are 1 hour per day.
