Compared to other main squares in South America, this one was a bit of disappointment. It was very modern, away from the centre and not really that impressive. I’m glad I visited but I don’t feel the need to rush back.

Great place to visit. Lots to see and do nearby. Take lots of photos! Comfy shoes are a must as you will want to walk around.

If you are visiting the museum of agua or el parque of tired feet then you may as well cross the street to Plaza Mayor. I cannot comment on shows there but they have 5 or 6 very pleasant restaurants overlooking a small bamboo garden....on...More
