Beautiful place and nice experience, must visit place if you are visiting medellin . Its not very far and can be a days tour but i recommend overnight stay.

We went on a holiday and its was realy busy. Its take us like a hour to get up and almost two to get down. The view is beautiful.

A must if in Medellin. Only about 1.5 hours out you can rent a boat and see the wonders of this massive lake with many islands throughout it. See the houses of many Columbian celebrities as well as the house of some famous narcos.

Guatape is a very nice town with cool stores, cafes, and restaurants. The view from el penol is amazing and it's a very relaxing place for those that want to scape busy Medellin.

Tour stopped at a few towns that where uninteresting and could be skipped. The town of Guatape has water sports and zip linning but tour only gives you 2 hrs to visit.

Great way to get some cardio and enjoy a beautiful view of the Damn. Take your time going up if you are not in "shape" and drinks lots of fluids. Buy some at the shops at the bottom before you go up the 700+ steps....More
