Cool place

It's very nice and very touristic.. Easy accesable but many vendors, but go around and eat here, there are great empanada, street food and Bandeja paisa!

In addition to wonderful Botero sculptures of over-sized people and whimsical animals, this is a great park to sit and watch the Colombians go about their daily business. A few souvenir hawkers but are not aggressive.

A great collection of Botero statues. When we went it was raining and starting to get dark. The square is a bit seedy and felt a little unsafe.

This plaza is a total gem. I thoroughly enjoyed walking around and seeing the many botero statues and the gorgeous church in the center of the square as well. There are benches in the park where you can sit on a hot day and watch people hustle and bustle through the city.

Tourist and locals alike are drawn to this large city park to view Botero's over-sized sculptures of people and animals. Most exquisite is the large horse. Botero donated the sculptures. Magical, whimsical and provocative.

The Plaza Botero is absolutely dazzling in its display of dozens of larger than life Botero sculptures. They were donated by the artist to his city and the people really enjoy them. By far one of the most amazing collections of bronzes of one artist ever exhibited and all free of charge. What a way to bring art to the... More

I'm surprised no one else brought this to attention. Perhaps because it was the low season when we went. I am a very well travelled person, and even as a solo female have been many places that others dared not go. This is one of the few places I could feel the constant need to be vigilant, enough to get... More

Visited on a Saturday morning in March. Took a cab from Poblado, as others have noted this is a very crowded area and you will be approached by vendors. We spent about 15 minutes viewing the sculptures, and would recommend pairing a visit to the plaza with a trip to the Museo de Antioquia.
