Very cool to sit at an umbrella have a beer and watch the city go by. Lots of hawkers but just saying works really well.

If you are in Cartagena it is essential to participate in a walking tour. You can spend around 2 hours strolling through the old streets and with a guide you will get an excellent commentary of the interesting spots along the way. The Plaza Santo Domingo is a must see, it is in a large open area and there is... More

Probably the most active place within the walled city especially on weekend nights, the square is a lively seeing surrounded by bars and music venues, highly recommend "Bourbon Street" yes as the famous namesake in New Orleans, is a 2 story music hall packed with plenty to do or sit outdoors in one of the many bars.

Very lively, full of street vendors and clean. Definitely worth a visit. Sit somewhere around it and watch the world go by.

All the best restaurants are in the vicinity. Quebracho, Cuzco, El Burlador de Sevilla, et al. You can buy Cohibas, take a carriage ride, and put an end to all sorts of hungers around this historic square.

This is a very nice Plaza where many of the locals gather, especially on Sunday. There are some small shops around and a few street vendors, but the Plaza was worth the visit.

As you walk through the Walled City, once and again you come upon a Plaza that is bustling with activity. During each of my visits, Plaza Santo Domingo seemed to have more fatigued and heat-relief-seeking tourists than the others. The steps in front of the church provided some shade and the opportunity to get off you feet and just observe.... More
