This colorful little exhibit is mildly entertaining and gives a very pale idea of what Barranquilla's carnaval celebration is like. If you won't be able to see carnaval for yourself, go ahead and visit if you're so inclined. It is housed at the Casa de...More

Little gem of a museum. Informative and especially great for children -- many hands on actives for them.

Great attention from the staff. Good information although it's small. I was with a Spanish guy the only guest and were treated really special and with a lot of enthusiasm. Loved it.

Vivid displays tell about the mixed cultural origins of the city's famed Carnaval, so anyone interested in folklore, arts & crafts, ethnography and so on will find the explanations, particularly those on the African and Arawak influences, really interesting. I was visiting Barranquilla and this place is full of information on the Carnival traditions and culture. The staff here are SO helpful and friendly. They knew a lot about the Carnival but also helped me with some other things to see in the city.
