The lion and the elephant are in such small enclosures. The puma too. Some unique animals endemic to Colombia.
I hate to say that there is an advantage to such small cages. Young kids can easily walk around the whole zoo in the heat.
My in laws live 3 blocks from the zoo. We enjoy taking the nephews there it can be seen in 1 - 2 hours for easy stroll. Most animal displays are good. When the heat is high sometimes it is difficult to see the animals....More

The zoo is small, not too big but it has a lot animal to see between birds , monkeys, lions , tigers, snakes. It takes around 2 hours to see everything , and only Spanish information, nothing available in English.
