I visited here as part of a 5 day tour of Xinjiang. It was lovely to walk around the pastures and ride a horse. There is also a shuttle bus to the waterfall if you don't want to walk or ride a horse. Probably it's early winter that we went. There were no one around, ticket booth is closed, shops are no where to be seen. We drove almost 2 hours from urumqi to the pastures. We were greeted with nobody and not much of a view too. No cattles were seen and the snow were melting away. Please ask before you go... More

We went there in an early morning. It was a very beautiful place with mountain ranges, waterfall and wild flowers. Watch out for the high pricey lunch. We paid CNY400 for 20 sticks of mutton, 5 bowls of rice and a plate of fried potatoes.

Lovely area and a good walk to the waterfall. We were travelling with small children, so we took the mini golf cart ride to the waterfall. It is recommended if you have little kids. Other options are also horseback ride to the falls. But some parts of the rolling pastures are strewn with trash. Which is a pity as the... More

This is one of the tourist sights offered by many local travel agents in URUMQI. The tour takes only half a day, as it is not too far from URUMQI.
