Lots of pandas of all sizes out and about in their enclosures when we went on a foggy day in December. The place itself is just a decent, landscaped zoo, with large outdoor enclosures, but nothing special in terms of panda-related education or activities,

My 2nd time here I was very impression it. Cool day, cute panda and cutie red panda. The best time to visit is in the morning you can spend the time for half day or one day. I love here very much.

We got a taxi from Chengdu centre and it cost us about 65RMB on the meter, but on the way back we got a taxi to the nearest metro station (Xiongmao avenue on line 3, if you haven't already got it download the MetroMan app-it's free and you can use it in every city in China that has a metro... Get there early to see the Pandas awake and eating! And if you don't like to or can't walk a lot, hire a tour guide with golf cart. Never been that close to pandas before...sooo cool!

This place is well set up over plenty of land which is needed as can get crowded. As everyone says get there early to avoid crowds & the risk of just looking at sleeping pandas.

Get there early ish as they will eat and then fall asleep. That's all they do more or less! Start up the top to beat the crowds and don't miss the red pandas too, just as interesting. No need for a tour, jump into a taxi there and back, they are v cheap. It's about 7 quid entry, don't know... More

Spent a large part of the day here, he expected this to be one of our main highlights of the tour we did, and we were right. It was great to see so many pandas ranging from 3-4 months upwards. The grounds are extensive and it would be easy to miss areas if you were not with a guide. Plenty... More

Pandas of every age from newborns to toddlers to teenagers to the moms and dads and grandparents. What a delight to watch them! Go with a guide to get the most out of the visit. We used Haba's Sichuan Travel Guide. Haba clearly loves the pandas and practically knows them all by name!

We had a wonderful day in Chengdu this past month while in China! We booked a day trip with "Jay" and he was as kind and knowledgeable as you could ask for. Jay and his driver picked us up at our hotel and drove us to the panda sanctuary early in the morning. Jay entertained us for the 90 minute... More

Lovely place, had a great time and please do come early, there are a lot of people lining up, which makes it not attractive anymore.
