We did Mt. Qingcheng as part of a two-attraction tour. While a bit of hiking was required, not so much to get your heart rate too elevated. Bring good shoes & water bottle... and camera/phone. The 45min drive from downtown Chengdu is worth this visit.

It was said the front of the mountain is about Taoism and the back is for hiking and sightseeing. We spent 3-4 hours in the front for Taoism. The route included climbing stairs, taking a cable car and climbing some more stairs. There were several...More

There are many great reviews about this place here and we planned our journey based on them. I'll suggest you to do the same. We booked the high speed train tickets in advance for Saturday since the chances of getting them on the counter itself...More

Its a great view, but not worth (and I wouldn't risk) getting injured there:it could be a real problem! I don't know if there is a cable car.

The normal train journey takes about 45 minutes but you'd want to check the return times. There are only a few. Arriving at the train station going to the mountain, that bus or car will also take about 45 minutes. Actually I... More
