Bright and vibrant. A street not to be missed. Fantastic tea and 'opera' places. Don't expect opera as we know it but some hilarious entertainment. Great street food, souvenirs etc. A must if you are visiting Chengdu.

We have been to a million markets similar to this but Jinli is quite calm and relaxed compared with others. Lots of food and souvenirs. Interesting to see. I suggest a taxi to get there

We were taken here on the first day of our Titan Travel tour of China. The first thing that greeted us was a Starbucks! Things did however improve and we enjoyed a few hours wandering the loop of this "traditional" chinese street.

convenient and something guides all recommend. Similar in feel to wise street food, drinks, shops. It is narrow and so crowded and alive with energy

Was there back in Oct 2011, a very long pedestrian street similar to Yu yuan garden in Shanghai and Wangfujing in Beijing, you can find almost any Sichuan souvenirs alive there! They also have freshly made Ma La Tang, the most authentic kinds. Have a great time there! And stay away from bribery and beggars.

Today was a recovery day after traveling from Canada to Chengdu so I decided to take a walk from my hotel to the Jinli Pedestrian street. It is bigger than I had remembered and there are many food stalls and small stores selling all of the touristy things that you could need. Scorpions on sticks and carvings on eggshells that... More

it was very touristy and likely overpriced goods but the good thing is the lanterns light up and make the whole area just mesmerizing. Use train to go there and walk from station about 15mins..

An area filled with positive energy and nice shops, this is a good way to spend a little money and time with friends. I recommend at least visiting once.

Busy tourist area that takes you back to the old days. Red lanterns hanging everywhere, so it is best seen at night. Plenty of souvenir shopping and food stands to grab dinner.
