Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Where else can you see so much honor bestowed upon a poet? This is a gorgeous park based on its natural splendor, shaded walking trails, coi-filled ponds, and serene setting alone. Add to that the sculptures, iconic carvings of DuFu's most famous poems, and his thatched-roof cottage, and you have a must-see attraction. They even accepted my U.S. identification card to give me the half-off Senior rate, which amounted to just $5. It was money very well spent!

I loved this place. We happened to be there on a Saturday and it was very busy. I found it fascinating - people dancing, outliers on the side doing their own dances, aerobics, badminton, mahjong, karaoke, rowing, calligraphy - it was all going on. We had tea at a tea house and watched people getting their ears cleaned and massaged. Definitely worth a visit.

This park is huge, and wonderful. Birds and water all over the place. It's enormous though, and can take ages to wander through. Plenty to see, and plenty of destinations if you want them. Plenty of tea gardens. People playing cards and mah jong. Bring a bottle of water and some snacks. Bring a camera. Take the smaller paths. One of our best days in Chengdu!

This is a great park where you could easily spend a few hours. Besides beautiful trees and flowers, there are fish ponds where you could buy fish feed in the form of milk bottles, and lakes where lots of herons and other wild birds gather. The main attraction for me is the "poetic long corridor" which showcased peoms and literature from great poets and men over the thousands of years of Chinese history!!! There are also many statues of the famous poets, especially those that had great contributions to Chengdu.

None that I know of, save here. Hundreds of poems, beautifully inscribed in ROCKS, brilliant walkways, just an amazing amount of positive energy went into creating this place and you can feel it in every inch (if you open your mind to it). Even without being able to read Chinese, I found it an amazing experience.

Very nice, tranquil park that has bamboo lined paths that keep both the sun and the rain off, but all the park exhibits are rather dull. You won't lose any sleep if you don't see any of them, yet the park entrance fee of 60CNY is the most expensive ticket in Chengdu. Cheap by western standards, but not worth it by Chinese.

As with most Chinese parks there are many rules, no dogs, no leaving the path, etc, but this doesn't detract from the fact that this is a beautiful place. Plenty of variety, lots of shady places under massive bamboo woodland. Tea houses, kite flying areas and you can feed the pigeons! Recommended!

We walked through the park with a private guide who was most helpful in explaining the the types of birds and flowers and particularly the various activities of the many groups of locals who were exercising, keeping fit, painting and playing a foot variety of badminton! Most interesting and relaxing!.
