This bar was a great place for bar food and a huge range of beers from around the world! It also had a large range of cocktails and spirits, sadly no wine. Really nice place to hang out with friends and good to meet other English speaking people. Would really recommend their trivia night and worth a visit

Not the easiest place to find, (the havana cigar shop is a good landmark), just go down the alleyway and look for the London Underground sign on your left. This is a pub really, run by a Mancunian, but it no longer provides food. There are nearby restaurants that will deliver, or if you insist on foreign food the staff... More

My son has lived in Chengdu for the past 8 years and this is my first visit! Fantastic memories, the best was his wedding day there, but the second has to be the fab bar he took me too, Underground Bar is run by mine hosts, Gary and Bernard and I cannot praise these two guys highly enough for the... Seeing the photos here I expected some good food but the kitchen is closed... BUT, the beer selection is very good and the owners are very nice. The rest of the staff is a bit so-so but in all its a good place to stay late and have beers.

Friday nights is Fish n Chips night at Underground, but you need to order in advance because of the great tasting food cooked up by Gary and his team. Also they have a great selection of beers.

A bar run by a Mancunian with a London theme in the middle of Chengdu. Sounds strange but it works. Located in a tunnel just off Taipingnanxinlu which sits beside Nine Eyes Bridge (Jiuyanqiao), the Underground Bar is a small cozy place on two levels. A wide number of beers are available from Harbin beer to more exotic Belgian brands,... More

I was in Chengdu in business, alone, and had read about the place on this website. More of chance, rahter than actually planned, I stumbled upon this place! I recalled the description "Next to 1855, behind Havana Cigar shop" and when I saw the sign for 1855 i realized it has to be near and started to look out for... More

I have been to the Underground many times because it is friendly, affordable, and convenient. I also like that they have a large selection of beers from all over the world. One thing about the west that I like is that when you go into an establishment a few times they know who you are, treat you well, and make... More
