We been there before high season started. Even at the weekend it was not so crowded. We love to stay there and enjoy relaxing time

With a friend's invitation, we went there along the beach for a long promenade that's around 10 km!! At the end though, we did have seafood grilled skewers as our bbq dinner! Somewhere on the beach, there's a big silver monument of dolphins or seals playing a beach ball, very fun)

bathing beaches in Qingdao are not like surfing beaches in Australia - however they are still nice change from industrialised China - the best feature of Qingdao beaches is that the whole harbour coastline has walking path that goes for miles from the city centre out in both directions - for the jogger/walker this is a must do activity -... I went during a holiday so it was crowded as you would expect. The water didn't look very clean and it didn't help when you saw signs warning you to be careful not to get stung by jellyfish. Qingdao boasts of its beautiful beaches but this is not one of them. Expect to pay 5 RMB. Good luck trying to... More

This beach is the dirties beach I have ever seen in my life. There are plastic bottles, bags, broken glass and all other kind of rubbish on the beach and in the water. I did not even take a risk to deep my toe into that water. Just stay away from that beach if you don't want to get any... More

It's a nice beach, but it's not a relaxing one unless you visit in the winter, just like every other beach in Qingdao. Nothing too special, but its still a nice beach. There's a decent amount of things to do nearby. It's crazy how in the winter, you'll see older men swimming in the frigid waters!

I was there when it was gently raining and it was fairly dull - it is not very big but my host tells me that at the right time (or wrong time depending on your view point) that there are many thousands of people on the beach... it is very close to the main shipping area and I would be... More

spending few days there was mandatory to visit the beach but it is not so nice. After taking bath your skin is oily and the sand is dirty. Not recommendable.

I was told that I went at the right time as it was not flooded with tourist. The locals are enjoying the place by flying kites, naked swimming and playing volleyball. It is very cooling to walk along the sandy beach
