I'll admit, I'm a little spoiled. I grew up around lakes and similar parks, so have a high standard. This park is not the best I've been to, but it was nice enough that it put a nice sheen on an otherwise disappointing day.
Its an interesting and pleasant stroll around Da Ming Hu after taking the boat from Baotu Springs. Pleasant and quiet gardens. However exit from the East gate opens onto a bus terminal. Difficult to get a taxi.
This is an absolutely beautiful lake which is well worth a wander around. You can also take a boat ride or do a sort of aquarium activity where you can see what is below the lake (both cost extra).
