Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We enjoyed our sightseeing along this winding road. It is nice to see how the people live in the area, the crops they grow, and the peaceful lives they live.

Binhai Road is also called lovers road, because when a couple meet first time or break-up they meet/separate there. Sounds funny but it's true. Moreover, this road is very suitable for long distance walking and jogging. The view up top very beautiful, at your back will be a mountain while you facing the sea. It's a bit dangerous because there are many cars using that road to reach an area called Laohutan (Tiger beach), so remain walking on the pavement at all times.

Dalian is a go go growth city with heavy industry and high tech. However, the city fathers have preserved a large part of the coastal seaside area for walking, jogging, and viewing the beauty of the Yellow Sea.
A long boardwalk stretches from the south side, coming from Tiger Beach (Laohutan) towards the north. Its excellent for walking or jogging, and is very popular with the local people for walks along the ocean.
The entire area is kept spotlessly clean and well maintained by an army of landscapers and maintenance staff.
During the summer, spring, and autumn its very easy to visit and comfortable. In the winter, the cold and ice may make Binhai Road a bit less accessible.
Overall, a surprising find in Dalian. Great for getting a little outside fresh air and wonderful views of the ocean.
Lets hope the city fathers continue to protect this area from developers who are surely jealous of the marvelous ocean views. Unfortunately, one spot along the boardwalk is currently under construction with some ugly sales bill boards blighting the view.

Well, there’s really nothing too do on this long narrow road leading from one side of the mountain to the other side. If you drive or ride in a cab through the mountains, be sure to do it in the day time when it’s light to enjoy the scenery along the Bohai. Otherwise it will be way to dark to see! It really doesn’t have all that much to see compared to the Dock/Port of Dalian or Hai Zhi Yun station in which you can see the sea/Bay.

The scenic road stretches for about 35 kilometres affording excellent coastal vistas. We were told that until a few decades ago it was only used by the army. It is a popular tourist and recreation area.

The sign near my hotel said 3.4 km to Xinghai Square, but it didn't say up over a mountain along winding sidewalks. Being someone who enjoys walking, I decided to walk it. Nice scenery (so, bring your camera); maybe detour, as I did, down to a beach or to Xinghai Bay Bridge. I also walked past the zoo. Part of the trek is designated a bodybuilding walk. Getting to Xinghai Square was worth the walk.

This road is very beautiful. Take a tax or get a driver, ride a bike or just walk part of it. It hugs the coast of Dalian so you see some city sights as well as the sea with islands and beaches. Very scenic.
