Laohutan Scenic Park is really a theme park with an entrance fee of 220 renminbi . I chose not to go inside, instead walked down to the harbour and the tiger monument. It was worth a stroll but not the most interesting or scenic place I visited in Dalian. I'm sure the theme park would be a great place for... More

I might be missing something, but Tiger Beach struck me as a tourist trap. There was nothing there except street vendors and a couple of statues.

Aquariums, gardens, tree root carvings and walks by the stunning sea make for a great place to spend half a day. The aquariums are well maintained and well worth the visit although the entry fee of 220 rmb is steep.

This park is the famous park in Dalian. Many people come here as sightseeing. But we didn't have much time, we watched the six tiger monument "群虎彫塑"only. Could you find 6th tiger?

Nice place to stroll, however, what they call a "zoo" is pretty sad. Feel for the animals. Large playground for outdoor sports

There is a lot happening in this park, it seems to be bustling with folks on the weekends. A great place to hang out take pictures, relax, fly a kite, catch a ball, etc... There are a lots of fun activities for kids and adults around the area, I have seen some high end shopping and restaurants near the posh... More

In short: I came here as the Laohutan beach is one of the famous sights of Dalian city. It turned out my visit lasted only 5 minutes after I saw THOUSANDS of people after arriving. 95% of them were not swimming but just standing or lying down by the shore. There were so many people I could hardly see the... More

If you're in Dalian with a young family, I'd recommend a visit. It's not an Alton Towers or Chessington Park but it's China's version and trying to get there. It was a good day out, made even better with Dalian's good weather
