Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Nice place but overrated. It is a central square in Dalian with a lot going on around the place. Good to see once.

In general, Dalian is a romantic place. XInghai park is one of Dalian attractions, it's beautiful, peaceful and clean (as long as not a holiday). I like going there for walking and sometimes jogging. It's also very good for meeting with friends who are looking for fun.

Relaxing seaside park to enjoy a beer and grilled squids in summer at the Hopscotch bar, refreshed by the sea breeze.

Perhaps it is biggest square in the world. Created rather crafted to make it kids friendly. You have sea, beach, boating, skating area, bronze statues, rides, good joints, cycling, walking, good views for sun rise, sun set, and more all at same place.

Was there from 2-3 May 16, it was definitely one of my favourite parks because it not only is very near the sea but also there are fun zone and amusement park like rides all over. My beloved game was the floating ball race game, you're stuck in a floating ball on the river and have to race to the finish while you're in the ball! Then there's a resort spot as well where you can take a rest and enjoy the cool breeze, that's why Dalian is an ideal place to live!

This is a wonderful place.Despite the wind off the water the park was crowded with families and people just .
The sculptures are scattered around create many focal points, and the thousand footsteps are inspiring, as is the open book.

There's a lot of activity that you can do here. But becareful when you play non-free game. Make sure you ask for the price and the other details (such as how many shoot you can make, how many ball you can throw, etc). Don't hesitate to say "bu yao" means I don't want, if somebody ask you something and you don't want. I like to have a picnic there, but don't choose spot under the tree because many people often pee there :( It is not a sandy beach, but you can sunbathe or just swim there. There is also bunggee jumping and flying fox accross the sea.

One of the many parks in Dalian. The entrance to the park is free. It is well-maintained and nice to see families together, people walking their adorable dogs for a walk and the older citizens doing their activites at the open area. There's an amusement park, bungee jumping and aquarium situated inside the Xinghai Park (need to pay of course). Be careful of the shooting games at the amusement games, my friend had to pay 60yuan without being told upfront.

Lots of lovely rides for the children, food stalls etc. The sea shore edge has a beach and a good view across to to the Xinghaiwan Bridge. This is a summer time venue. Its no fun out of season.
