Not much to brag about here as the Square is typical of many city squares. Great shopping abounds nearby though

It was the midpoint of Spring when I was there, wasn't cold, around 20C and pleasant weather overall. Since it was around May Day/Labour Day, there are lots of people on the square...you see dancers, mostly ballroom style or auntie's group dance) Very nice and entertaining.

This square was built by Russians and enlarged by Japanese, but all on Chinese soil! There are over a dozen interesting buildings in and near the square that were constructed for colonization of China.

Zhong Shan is a famous square in Dalian. Most of the banks and 5* hotels are located in that area. It considered as downtown and place for luxury brands.

Just a square with a plain-looking park inside. Not scenic. And there's no attraction around it. Just some banks and shops around.

While probably not a must see in itself, if you ever get lost, you can work out where you are by getting here. Depending on what time of year you come, the lights at night will be good to look at. I enjoyed it, but I really like walking.

Took a trip through the City on the way to the airport. Some interesting European architecture. Worth a swing by!

a roundabout with sculptures and old buildings around.some fast food places around the corner but not much than that. people feed the pigeons but its not as quite as other squares, since its practically in the middle of the road. Pedestrians - beware, cars blast by with no real respect to foot walkers.

Actually it is a big roundabout with some Sculputres around. By walk you can easily pass because they have some Underpass

Most likely you'll go through here anyways, but take your time to look at the buildings surrounding the square. You can also enter several to look inside. In the one that used to be a Japanese restaurant and now houses the commodities exchange there's this little coffee shop. It's very cute and quiet. It's nice to visit for a quiet... More
