Scenic view and nice boat ride

It is a very lovely area to stroll, relax and eat. Old buildings are nicely restored. Take the boat ride down the canal.

I recommend you to spend the money on package deal of the boat, the three museums, and a tour guide, its the best way to see the place and understand the old ways of the canal. The tour guide will take you through the whole three museums and tell you about the daily lives of people living next to the... More

The ancient canal and it's neighbourhood are a fascinating area with beautiful old bridges, some narrow alleyways, magnificent old-world buildings and well-chosen statuary. We were there in the daytime when it was not so busy. At night, I believe, it turns into a centre of bustling nightlife as all the old houses have been turned into restaurants.

Came here with a tour group at night. It was beautiful and great for taking pictures. This reminded us of Venice. There are shops, restaurants and cafes along the walking street. Starbucks is at the entrance. Across the road is Hotel Nikko Wuxi. It was a pleasant stroll at night though it was drizzling during winter. Starbucks was a great... More

This bridge is what reminded me of the Rialto in Venice. Lots of little backstreets on either side of canal with interesting shops and restaurants

Situated along a stretch of cafes and shops the Qingming bridge is an example of old Chinese architecture. Well worth the visit as the area is a pleasant walking street with lots of other attractions for tourist shopping, dining or just taking in the feel of the Chinese culture, modern and historic.

This bridge is part of a beautiful stretch of shops, bars, cafes - up and down both sides of the canal. During the day, it's a little sleepy, best for enjoying a slow cup of tea. Not a lot of people around and not all shops are open. At night this place really comes alive and is a bustling place.... More

In this area you are able to walk around in peace and able to feel the surrounding of ancient houses and bridges. On one side of the river, there is a street where you can find small shops and restaurants as well as Starbucks.
