This is a major tourist attraction in Suzhou so be ready. There are many views inside and the gardens are well-presented and well-maintained. A variety of different gardens are available so plan enough time to see all of them.
After visiting the Humble Administrator's garden, I thought this would be an anti-climax. In fact it's only about 350 metres away although the signage is poor. As a surprise to me it was quite different, smaller of course but featuring rock formations and rock mazes....More
I went on a weekday, so the crowd wasn't too bad. There were many rocks that are on exhibition, and good that there are both Chinese and English explanations as well.
The entrance fee was I think 30RMB.
