Free museum with a good collection that shows the development of Kun Opera. Also provides introduction of popular Kun opera titles and troupes. This is a UNESCO heritage site. My husband and I stumbled across it on our walk around Pingjianglu. Almost everything is in Chinese, but one can figure out what is going on. I read that on Sundays they have performances around 2 for about 20 RMB. We have yet to be there on Sunday at 2 to see for ourselves.... More

I've been to this theatre twice. Once when it was unknown and difficult to find, but was in good condition and, apparently, seldom visited. More recently I have been there when it was restored fully and attended a delightful performance of one of the classic Chinese plays.
