Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

LlThere's a boardwalk around the lake, and there were hand prints of local celebrities and prominent figures of the arts and film industry along the fencing, as if replicating the Stars Avenue of Hong Kong.

Along this boardwalk, you'll get a good view of 大裤衩 (this building that looks like a pair of underpants) on one side and the Arts Center on the other. The night view of the buildings lit with changing lights is not bad but still a far cry from that of the Victoria Harbour or the Bund. Didn't help that the weather was so hot, even with the sun set, the breeze brings heated air. It was much better the next day after some rain (yes, we went back again for a walk after dinner).

A very idyllic and well-kept place with a good view of the skyline. Relatively few people and much more pleasant than the other completely overcrowded gardens in this city!

Also very interesting in the evening, especially at the weekend, as there are many stalls with bars/food here.

We went here to see the Oriental Arc and enjoyed walking the boardwalk. We also lucked out on a Thursday night and saw them testing the fountains in the area. If you get there a clear night you could probably get some really good views of the area. There are many places to pop in for food or a drink nearby and the area is lined with quite a few metro stations. The closest metro to the arc and the fountains is Dongfangzhimen.

Enjoyed waking up daily with a view over the Jinji Lake, when staying at the Crown Plaza. The lake itself is worth a stroll too, and has some good restaurants in the Li Gong Di area.

We dared to be at the lakeside in time for the water show. We weren't disappointed. The colors and music and fire and water 'dancing' were fun for kids of all ages.

I visited Jinji Lake during a recent trip to Suzhou. There is a walking path around the lake and it is pleasant to take. The lake views are nice and there are interesting bridges, statues and other things to see. Although some areas were more crowded than others on the day I visited, you can enjoy being out by the water in a quiet and peaceful spot.

I was staying at the Crowne Plaza on the corner of the lake and woke every morning to the beautiful view accress the lake. On the far side, there id the cultural centre, moon harbour, the fun fair and some great restaurants, including a good tipenyaki and a German place that brews it's own beer.

There are good restaurants and bars along JinJi Lake, especially at "hu-bin-xin-tian-di" or "Rainbow Walk" Note: if you take a taxi just say "hu bin xin tian di" if they don't know it go to XianDai DaDao, take a right on Xing Gang Jie and you will see a "Fruit Music Plaza" sign on your left, have the driver make a u-turn "zhuan tou" or "hui tou" (p.s. "tou" sounds like "toe") and stop in front of the "Fruit Music Plaza sign" then walk up the stairs with the sign on your right and the subway entrance on your left and you will see the lake. Further down there is a Coldstone, Starbucks, and Zapata's (my favorite local hangout). "Li Gong Di" has good restaurants too, as well as bars and clubs. It is also a good place to enjoy a nice walk or jog. The lights at night around the lake are very nice and there is a light show on the lake on... Friday and Saturday evenings (I believe).
