great place, had a tour about the silkworms and was amazed about how long a piece of silk can go for, bought some silk items, very good tour

I recomend it combined with a nice long walk in the old-town of Suzhou. 60-90 minutes is quite enough if you are not an expert of the topic.

It was a pretty cool stop on our tour. We learned how silk is made from the start of the process to the end.

You can learn almost everything about silk. You can meet the caterpillars, look at the leafs, cocoon, way of production. It is the traditional production line of silk - very interesting to see! And, of course, at the end you pass a big silk mall....More

I would think not but it is more geared to group tours as there are lots of silk items for sale.

Yes it does. Go early only open from 9 am to 3 pm... Nice silk wear to buy... Credit card accepted. Enjoy.
