The usual bunch of shops restaurants and buskers. This isn't the nicest area to spend time in, I prefer Jianghan Street which is in the same area just a short walk away.

This is an interesting street that has a lot of street performers busking from table to table, shop to shop. They consist of individuals or a small group singing, playing guitars or the Erhu and other musical instruments. There was even one guy who is usually kinkily dressed up playing the accordion. You will find a few restaurants, beverage kiosks, and mostly empty buildings. Maybe in the evening hours, on a pleasant evening, strolling this area will appeal, but otherwise, it's just another street to walk down.

Jiqing Jie is famous locally, despite the fact that most of your local friends have probably never been there. The attraction is the dapaidang style dining which is supposedly complimented by the presence of predatory beggars masquerading as busking musicians.
