The rope way provides great views of Songhua river, most do. It was a bit windy when we went, not for people who don't like heights.

This bridges between lower Harbin and Sun Island. If you walk down Zhongyang street to Stalin park and the river, turn left and walk a little under 1 km you will find the Harbin end. Don't be put off when you see the cable cars crossing the river, the light plays tricks and the cars are only 6/8 person and... More

I’ve been on ropeways and the price was so cheap and the scenery was breathtaking. Here the scenery is ok but not breathtaking and it was way more expensive than outstanding ropeways in China so I must this is a definite pass.

The cable car is a great way to cross the river and was especially good whilst the river was frozen. There's lots of activity on the river at this time and a bird's eye view of it all was a real treat

We had our own cabin during the cross over not many people queuing. We just had lucky number 25 cabin and coincidentally on our way back we had the same cabin number 25 to ourselves. Scenic and fun. It cost you RMB80 for return.

short river crossing drops you at Russian World (rather a sad shabby place with not a lot going on) but the journey itself affords good views of the river if the air quality is good.

Taxi would be a cheaper way of getting back to central Harbin after a morning of looking at snow sculptures. But this is much more scenic. Surprisingly easy to walk to from the exit out of the snow sculpture exposition.

Have made this crossing a few times and it's better in the Summer rather than the Winter when it can be quite smoggy in the area.

The single journey ticket for this ropeway cost 50RMB and return 80RMB. It is pretty expensive if compares to ferry transfer which costs only 2RMB for the same journey. And after all if you have been alpine skiing ever this ride does not offer anything special for you except the view if the visibility is ok. Still it does not... More
