This park was across the street from our hotel, so, of course, we had to visit it. They have children's amusement rides near the entrance. Most of the rest of the park is just greenspace - that is, it's a park. Not too exiting, but nice for a "walk in the park". The highlight was getting to the waterfront area.

This is a very popular park with families. There are amusement rides for the kids, and giant transformer robots the kids can sit in and shoot pretend laser beams from. There are many food stalls, and several bars that open in the afternoon and stay open late. There are many walking trails, and you can walk to the ocean easily.... More

Nice large park with plenty of greenery to enjoy while strolling along the park paths or along the coast with a view of the ocean. Can rent a bike to ride if desired (single, double or even 4 wheels if 4 -6 people). FYI - During Chinese New Year (and maybe other holidays) the bike rental price nearly doubles.

I personally do not find Haikou a very touristy place. Wanly Park (or Evergreen Park) never impresses me as an extraordinarily or spectacularly tourist attraction. I don't see any wow factor in this park. To me, it is just another Botanical Garden like that in Singapore but I don't think it has that wide eco-diversity of exotic tropical flora and... More

Spent loads of time here, such a huge green area at the edge of the city, spent many hours chatting to the youngsters so they could practice their English and me my Chinese.

We went back in September 2010 for some buysiness. In the mean time of doing business, we did a bit of sightseeing and decided to walk through the park. It is huge, and even though we did not manage to have a look at everything, we managed to see quite a lot. The arched bridge was spectacular, and the views... More

The place is enormous and it's located in the middle of the city, several food stalls are available within the park. there aren't much to see in the park, since the park itself it's dedicated for Haikou's residence activity (sports and resting).

Get away from the noise of downtown for just a moment in the middle of the day. Not really a great place for a traveler but it's good for some rest and relaxation if you are in the city for a few days and want to de-citify without the trouble of leaving the city.
