Small village with some fascinating old buildings and craft wares. Central is an historic opera house, visited in the past by U.S. Pres. Clinton. A nice hour stop over on the way from the Li River Cruise on the other at to Yangshou.

There are only a few old street left in most Chinese communities this is one of them. Art students come from many schools around China just to capture the scenes of not only the fabulous mountains of Xing Ping but the Old Streets of Xing Ping. You can take the bus from Yangshuo to Xingping it is about $1.50 and takes about 40 minutes. While there you can find many small shops with better deals then West Street in Yangshuo. Also you can take a raft ride and see the wonderful mountains of Guilin.
