Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The night exterior entrance view is beautiful with lights up along the perimeters of the building structure. Entrance is free and there are about 4 main halls of historical relics to view like imperial costume, bedroom, dinning hall, etc and the rest are parks.
Takes about 1-2 hours to visit if you do not intend to walk the park which we did not. There are cute mercedes benz buggy ride for a fee if you are lazy to walk the entire park. Would not say is a must see but do so if you have time or have not seen the one in Beijing.

What I thought would be an actual historic place of interest is actually a complete fake reconstruction of the Old Summer Palace in Beijing. With no admission fee, many walking paths, and some great picture opportunities, it really is just a large park that you can enjoy meandering around. Attached to an amusement and water park, which may or may not detract from the ambiance.

It’s near from gongbei port almost 10 minute in taxi for 30 to 40 rmb. It is replica of forbidden kingdom and good place to visit. Entrance is free for all the visitors. Can see chinese architecture and get yourself dressed in chinese ancient uniforms. Food and drinks are fair enough. It’s better to walk around but if have trouble to walk then can take buggy ride to see around. Boating can be also done in lake, cable car ride to go up in hill from where can see good view of city and Macau too if clear weather. various performance are also preformed can enjoy it although it is in Chinese language. Various games are there to play for children and adults too. It’s is one of good place to have good photos. Over all it’s good to spend some time with family and friends in it as it’s one of nearest destination from gongbei port.

We visited in December and practically had the park to ourselves. It was a great break from the crowds and traffic of China. Don't miss the live show in the evening. It was excellent, with horses, dancers, pyrotechnics, and music.

The New Yuan Ming Yuan is one of the attractions that you can consider if you have a day or 2 in Zhuhai or have extra time for free & easy. This place is actually a mock-replica of the Old Summer Palace in Beijing. Touring this place would need atleast 2-3 hours, that is if you do not stop to watch its shows.
Probably one of the main attractions of this place is the qing dynasty buildings and exhibition of some of the antiques that were in the Old Summer palace.
If you appreciate the palace customs and cultures, you can consider watching its shows, however, these shows are in Mandarin and there is no english translation.
Apart from that, there are some shops selling souvenirs in this place.

We went to take photos. 20 minutes were enough to walk a fast round. Spent zero cent. The site was under renovation/construction.

It is a nice an historical place where you’ll not have to pay any entrance fees (was the case when I was there). The palace is split in several buildings showing historical pieces from weapons to cloths.
This is a very busy area so rather go there on the morning.

Seriously this is called a Chinese palace ? Haphazard design and a bizarre mix of east and west ... I find it appalling . There is even Snow White and 7 dwarfs in this palace . It’s a waste of time . Saving grace - it’s free entry

Nice park. Visited on a very hot day but managed to find shade by the lake. I would recommend doing that with a picnic and plenty of cold drinks. Avoid on bank holidays when too many people are there. Like most parks in China well maintained and clean.

Yuan Ming Palace is a replica of the Forbidden Palace in Beijing. Entrance is free. It is actually a huge scenic area with front palace, middle and back halls. Each has its significance. There is a buggy facility for 20RMB within the compound incase one wants to cover all the area. In addition, there is a large man made lake, souvenir shops inside this palace.Inside the halls one can see Emperors Dining Room and Prince's Reading Room.In addition there were halls which are maintained well showing where the Emperor entertained guests and held banquets. At the end of all the halls one can walk right up to the cable car station and see an open air theatre which houses shows in the evenings and on special occasions. The cable car takes one right to the top of the mountain from where one can appreciate the beauty and the entire Zhuhai city, very beautiful and serene from the mountain top.The walk down is also interesting. A nice place to see some old artifacts and architecture which is not seen in the Beijing Palace.
