Lots of cormorants so fun to watch them awhile. More interesting are a couple of indoor markets up the street.

You can't miss it if your walk the waterfront. It's a good place to watch birds. They line up both on the structure and on shore.

This is not a great place to walk around. Needs to be built up. Right on the highway. Nothing to really do.

This old broken down pier is dominated by numerous bids who takes turns to fly and return. It is a real joy and very relaxing to watch the way these creatures behave. It's view in the evening is fantastic.

A great way to wander about. People are very friendly and helpful. They tolerated my Spanish and pointed out sights.

Great place for strolling in Punta Arenas. Bird watchers would delight at the abundance and variety of species just sitting on the old piers. Very neat to watch and plenty of photographic opportunities.

These blue-eyed cormorants, also known as the imperial shag (Phalacrocorax atriceps) are found on the mainland and on many subantarctic islands and the Antarctic Peninsula....More

Close to the docks are these old piers where thousands of birds sit and nest. This is a bird watchers and photographers delight. a place not to miss.

This is a nice relaxing walk along the sea front on a very wide pavement. As you look out to sea you will see old run down piers that are usually full of different type of sea birds, great for photographing.
