This is a local Church with a capital C. I was honoured to have walked in just when people were arriving to give a carol concert. The music was brilliant but what was greater was the sense of friendship and community that I witnessed as...More

With its yellow gold and greenish trim and its squared bell tower, this church is an imposing presence in Punta Arenas’ downtown area. Built in 1892, it is lovely in its simplicity.

This is somewhat of a small cathedral. It's not grand or imposing, but it has fine proportions and seems just right for its home. Step inside and you quickly sense the power of faith, the Catholic Church, and this church in the history and life...More

It's a beautiful cathedral and it's nice to hear the bells that ring hourly. They close for lunch so plan your visit around that.

By catholic standards it is a bit plain. There are some nice stained glass decorations and the painting over the altar is quite impressive. Not very large or ornate, but right in the centre in the main square, so worth calling in as you visit...More

This cathedral in the City square is a small place to see and you wont take long to see. It is worth a visit as you usually pull up here in the bus. There is much more to see in the square nearby
